Parallele 45 Cotes du Rhone
This is the standby wine in our house. This is a full bodied Cotes du Rhone from Paul Jaboulet Aine. It takes it name from the 45th north parallel that runs 2 kilometers from the cellars. If you aerator or decanter this it's as smooth as velvet. When I started buying this wine it was only $8. Now unfortunately it is up to $12. Hope you enjoy!

Beaujolais Nouveau Day has arrived!
2013 Beaujolais Nouveau
After 2 days of trying the 2013 Beaujolais I am happy to report that it is not sweet. I have found it fruity with a hint of spice. People with more wine knowledge than myself have commented that it is not as fruity as last year. My local store was selling the Beaujolais for only $8.99. I will not be getting a 2nd bottle. If you pickup a bottle let me know what you think.

Marchesi Di Barolo Maraia Barbera Deli Monferrato
Tried the Marchesi Di Barolo Maraia Barbera Deli Monferrato. It was full bodied, but didn't float my boat. Made the Wine Spectator Top 100 for 2012. The price was right under $10.

2011 Bodegas Juan Gil 'Juan Gil' Monastrell
Was visiting a family friend tonight who was serving this red. It knocked my socks off!!! It was light and smokey. I was just as shocked to learn the average price is about $14. You will not be disappointed with this selection. They also sell it for less than the average price at my local Wegmans. Here is a link with more info on the wine.

2006 La Lecciaia Brunello di Montalcino Vigna Manapetra
This Italian was the featured wine on this Friday. I found it medium bodied and dry. I enjoyed it. I have had other people tell me it gets better as the night goes on, but that is usually true about most reds. The price on this day was $29.99.
Ruffino Pinot Grigio
This Ruffino Pinot Grigio was very refreshing and medium bodied. I am not a white guy (white wine guy), but I really liked this. For $9.99 you can't go wrong.
